計劃說明 :
具有光合作用能力之共生藻與海洋刺絲胞動物如海葵、珊瑚間的胞內共生現象,是維繫珊瑚礁生態系之高物種歧異度及高生產力的主因。共生藻是經由胞噬作用進入宿主細胞,經由一連串的辨識過程,進而形成穩定的胞內共生現象。海洋刺絲胞動物及共生藻細胞間具有物質交換系統,能將共生藻的光合作用產物如甘油及葡萄糖運送給宿主細胞使用,而宿主細胞則將呼吸作用及含氮代謝廢物等供給共生藻做為養分。當環境發生劇烈變化如溫度的驟升或驟降、水質酸化或濁度增加以及人為的破壞均會影響共生現象,造成珊瑚的白化、死亡,進而影響珊瑚礁生態系的平衡。本研究團隊利用分子細胞學、蛋白質體學、質譜學及顯微影像學等來研究細胞膜蛋白質、脂質循環、胞器分布、細胞分裂、光合作用及相關分子結構在胞內共生現象中之調控,並針對此一複雜之動植物間的交互作用進行深入研究,以期有系統地了解胞內共生之機轉,使此方面的研究深入分子層面並臻於世界領導地位,進一步藉此開發海洋生物免疫學、代謝體學及細胞學等方面的重要研究領域,並提供教學訓練的機會,期有助於海洋生物細胞學及醫學研究的前瞻進展暨人才培育。
